People of Tomorrow – Build a bridge with messages

Be a part of history in the making… Create your own message.

People of Tomorrow,

Tomorrowland is creating a unique and permanent landmark that symbolizes the positive coming together of the whole world at Tomorrowland each year.
Arne Quinze, one of the most famous Belgian modern artists, known world-wide for building enormous and surrealistic public art installations, designed a unique bridge together with Tomorrowland. This piece of art is 600 meters long and has a central statue of 25 meters high, symbolizing ‘freedom’ in all possible ways. The project will be built in De Schorre, the home of Tomorrowland, as a permanent bridge which bikers, walkers and visitors can enjoy throughout the entire year. This amazing project will be called ‘One world, by the People of Tomorrow…’

Arne Quinze took his inspiration from The Winged Victory of Samothrace, also called the Nike of Samothrace, and invites everybody around the world to be part of the project: « Anyone who wants to can leave a message on a little piece of the artwork, as a contribution to this symbol of friendship » (Arne Quinze).

But there’s more… The bridge symbolises the connection between people. The extraordinary character of this piece of public art will be the 210.000 unique and laser engraved positive messages into the wood of the bridge. Anyone — anywhere in the world — can have a personal message for tomorrow permanently installed on the bridge as a tag. These could be simple sentences or edited messages with symbols, pre-made templates or even small pieces of art.

‘One World, by the people of tomorrow…’ will be a sea of positive energy and has the power to become a unique and worldwide symbol for how the world can unite in a positive way. The goal? To create an artwork with 210,000 positive messages from all corners of the globe.

The construction of the bridge will be filmed and photographed, and you can follow every step of the progress via This way, you will get to watch YOUR project come to life. ‘One World by the people of tomorrow’ will be officially opened in June 2014. Messages can be bought by people from all over the world via
