Deux kids de Chicago et leur DJ pour un retro-rap décloisonné et décomplexé.

La version minimale, presque décharnée d’un hip hop en phase avec ses origines, a valu à Chuck et Mikey, deux kids natifs de Chicago, de se voir affublés d’un retro-rap qu’ils assument pleinement, à peu près autant en tout cas que ces fréquentes références aux White Stripes ou au rock californien. Avec courage et brio, ils n’hésitent plus à aller à la rencontre de leurs cousins électriques, un peu comme aux riches heures, décloisonnées et totalement décomplexées, d’un rap pionnier et créatif qui se nourrissait de genres musicaux parfois éloignés, pour mieux grandir et se construire.
