Solomon Burke

Solomon Burke (né le 21 mars 1940 à Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie) est un chanteur de gospel, de rhythm and blues, de soul et de country américain. Surnommé « The King of Rock n' Soul », il est, avec Sam Cooke ou Ray Charles, un des pionniers de la musique soul. Sa chanson la plus célèbre, Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, fut reprise par The Rolling Stones ou The Blues Brothers.
