Moby

Moby, de son vrai nom Richard Melville Hall (11 septembre 1965), est un artiste de musique électronique américain. Multi-instrumentiste, Moby joue de la guitare, des claviers et de la basse.

Depuis qu’il est devenu une figure planétaire, Moby cultive un paradoxe : dès qu’il monte sur scène, le célèbre New-Yorkais retrouve sa vraie nature punk, celle qu’il n’a cessé d’entretenir, y compris en revisitant ses très nombreux hits electro. Il renoue en concert avec un background musical dont il ne s’est jamais complètement coupé, retrouvant ainsi l’énergie dévastatrice de ses débuts. Il en résulte des prestations scéniques d’envergure à destination d’un public qui perçoit les relations entre des genres musicaux qu’on a cherché à opposer, mais qui restent intimement liés.
