Lady Saw

Lady Saw, de son vrai nom Marion Hall, est une chanteuse de reggae dancehall, née le 12 juillet 1972 en Jamaïque.

Qu’on l’appelle The Queen Of The Dancehall, The First Lady Of Dancehall ou plus récemment Mama Saw, Lady Saw impose d’emblée le respect. À l’égal des grandes dames du reggae dans les années 70, elle porte l’expression d’une autre forme de revendication, celle d’une place plus équitable pour les femmes au sein de la société jamaïcaine. Elle dit sa fierté avec un flow percutant, quitte à heurter les consciences bien-pensantes, mais n’en reste pas moins d’une incroyable sensualité quand elle libère sur scène des sentiments plein d’émotion.
